Hello and welcome to Elsie’s site
As a busy mum running her own film and broadcasting company, writing, helping and advising various voluntary groups, Elsie, is living proof that whatever your background it is never too late not only to make something of yourself but also help improve the lives of others.
Elsie was brought up with nine siblings in her native Ivory Coast. She hardly spoke a word of English when she first moved to the UK in 1995. Since then Elsie has founded Stand Up For Africa (SUFA), which has grown into one of the most recognizable charity brands in the UK.
A truly inspiring speaker with a unique and authentic voice, Elsie is committed to human rights and social justice, and regularly presents about a range of topics and issues including ending hunger, poverty and disease in Africa and globally, children and young people, women’s issues, volunteering, leadership….
Having faced many challenges as a woman and as an African living in the UK, Elsie also shares her experiences and learning through presentations on the subject of personal empowerment for success. The story of her passionate struggle to succeed against all odds never fails to inspire audiences.
We hope you enjoy Elsie’s website…
